ARTIST PROFILE

I was born and raised in Southwest Michigan, when I continue to reside. I began studying art as a child via The Carnegie Center for the Arts in my hometown of Three Rivers, Michigan.

My formal education is in Graphic Design, art theory and printmaking. My forays into abstract oil and acrylic painting are self-taught.

I have over 20 years of exhibition experience. In my art, I enjoy exploring and finding the balance between contrasts- control/chaos, structure/spontaneity, joy/angst. I represent these contrasts in my painting by featuring a strong interplay of contrasts in sheen, texture and color contrast.
